Parent helpers at St Mary’s

We are always so grateful if parents are able to offer their time to come in and support us in school.

We need help with things like: reading stories to children in the infants; hearing readers in the juniors; supporting with swimming; and supporting on activity days and trips.

In order to do this you will need to have a current and valid St Mary’s DBS (Disclosure & Barring service) certificate.
Please contact the office at info@stmarysprimary.org . Once you have done so, please pop into the school as soon as you can with three forms of valid government issued identification – ideally passport, driving licence and a bank statement or utility bill dated in the last three months. This will then enable us to process your application. Usually after that they take a week or so to come back to us, and once that part has happened you will be good to go!

If you are already DBS checked with the school you can start straight away so please let us know things like: when you are available; which year groups you are most interested in supporting; and which sorts of activities you are most interested in supporting.
